Volunteer with Richmond Engaged Encounter
There are several ways in which you can help our Engaged Encounter
community and the couples who attend our weekends.
- Host couple: help to make sure everything is in order on the first
evening; handle check-in as the couples arrive; provide directions;
assist the presenting team with any last-minute details.
- Prayer couple: request that a couple be assigned to you, and pray for
this couple throughout the weekend.
- Presenting couple: couples wishing to become presenters are mentored
through the writing of their talks; couples give their carefully prepared
talks on one or more weekends per year.
Donations
Registration fees cover cost of room accommodations, food, and
materials. However, there are other, not-so-obvious expenses. We rely on
donor support to sustain Richmond Engaged Encounter needs such as:
- Financial assistance for couples who could not otherwise attend a
weekend.
- Enrichment activities for the couples and priests who volunteer in this
ministry.
- Travel expenses for presenting teams who may need to fill in on an
emergency basis in another state.
- Financial support for Engaged Encounter internationally, such as in
former Soviet countries.
